Earlier this week, Elon Musk-led Twitter was rebranded to “X,” and the beloved Twitter logo and the iconic blue bird symbol were replaced with a white stylized “X” on a black outer space-themed background as part of a wider rebranding.

With the rebranding, the billionaire is accelerating his efforts to turn the microblogging platform into an “everything app”, similar to China’s WeChat. The platform is aiming to create a global marketplace, bringing together ideas, goods, services, and opportunities in a limitless and interactive ecosystem.

While X (formerly known as Twitter) continues to rebrand and is still in the ongoing transition process, some users of Twitter users noticed another major change the “Tweet” button on the web was replaced by the “Post” button. However, the change lasted only for an hour before it was reverted to the original Tweet button.

It appears that the social networking platform is working on replacing the famous ‘Tweet’ button with the ‘Post’ button. The temporary testing carried out by the company suggests that the change may soon become a permanent one.

Meanwhile, some of the users took to Twitter to express their views on the upcoming change:

On Monday, Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino acknowledged the Twitter rebranding as a rare opportunity of a ‘second chance’ to transform the social media platform and make yet another big impression.

According to Yaccarino, the rebrand is the start of steering Twitter in new directions, which will be characterized by unlimited interactivity centered on audio, video, messaging, payments, and banking, all powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). She also added that this transformation is just the beginning, and there are no limits to what ‘X’ can achieve and deliver.
